This week we visited a Place of Worship. We went to the Hindu Temple, Bhaktivedanta Manor.
Here we got to visit the shrine, where people come to pray and worship the Hindu Gods. We listened to some percussion instruments and the song ‘Hare Krishna’.
We then went on to learn about the story of Rama and Sita, an important story in the Hindu faith. Whilst learning the story, we role played and dressed up as the important figures in the story. Then, everyone got to try on traditional clothing such as saris and turbans.
To end our wonderful visit, we learnt about how and why cows are sacred to the Hindu faith and we even got to feed them!
Here are some pictures from our visit to the Mandir.
