This term our science project will be plants, we are planning to start our own herb garden in the allotment area of the school field.
We decided to take a trip to a local garden centre. The staff there were very helpful and taught us that it is not only the flowers that have a fragrance but also the leaves.
We were able to smell lots of different herbs then as a class decided which ones we should buy to grow in our herb garden.
Once we had agreed we spent some time walking around the rest of the garden centre looking at all the different types of plants and we even decided to buy a few extra plants for our classroom as well!
