This half term, we’ve been looking a lot at Floella Benjamin’s story ‘Coming to England’ and the struggles she faced and overcame during her youth. We also used this to tie into discussions about Black History Month and the struggles that others have faced throughout history. This really helped to foster fantastic discussion about how we’re all different and how these differences should be celebrated and embraced.
