Over the last couple of weeks, our focus has been on the British Science Week. Year 4 have enjoyed doing all sorts of experiments as well as exploring key Science vocabulary. Spelling

Year 4 have worked really hard in their spelling practise. They have enjoyed creating their own sentences using the spelling words of the week “quarter’, ‘learn’, ‘calendar’, ‘remember’, ‘pressure’ and ‘separate’. Their challenge was to see how many of these words could fit in one sentence to make sense! Fantastic work Year 4.

Attendance Trip

Our Year 4 children won the attendance trip and were lucky to get to go to DJ’s Soft Play for a treat.

Maths

This week in Maths, Year 4 have been learning about place value, in particular comparing numbers using “greater than” and “less than” terminology. We have been exploring this concept through various manipulatives such as, using denes, counters, number cards and dice.
