The school has been an exceptional environment for both my boys, and I would highly recommend it. My eldest, who leaves year 6, has flourished under the remarkable teaching he has received. Their techniques, encouragement and commitment have transformed his confidence and the way he learns, making a real difference.

My youngest in year 5 has also been taught by an excellent teacher who both he and I believe is outstanding at what they do. The school’s values are strong, consistent and genuinely instilled in the pupils, creating a positive, respectful and supportive culture. The school celebrates diversity and takes different backgrounds into consideration, which has always been important to our family.

The Headteacher has made a major contribution to the school’s success. Her leadership, presence and dedication have played a significant role in the school’s continuous growth and achievements. One of the most impactful initiatives the school introduced was the after-school tuition programme, which was a real game changer for my son during Year 6. The additional support helped him build confidence, strengthen his understanding and successfully overcome the challenges of the SATs.

I have complete confidence in the Year 6 teacher, who listens, understands and proactively takes action. Knowing my youngest will be taught by them gives me great reassurance as he moves into his final year.

The school community is consistently warm and welcoming. From the friendly faces at the gate to the reception staff who are always willing to listen and help, we have always felt supported. The school has played a significant role in my boys’ development, and it is a school we would wholeheartedly recommend.

Thank you
Kind Regards

Overall, my family’s experience within the London Colney Primary community has been extremely positive. I have had four of my own children and two nieces attend the school, and all of them have enjoyed their time there and felt supported throughout their journey.

One of the strongest positives of the school is the dedication shown by both the teachers and the headteacher, particularly in preparing the children for their SATs. The children are always put first, with genuine care taken to understand and support their individual needs.

A standout example of this was the support my daughter received during her SATs preparation. She is now in Year 8, but at the time there were concerns that she might not meet the expected levels. The attention, reassurance, and encouragement she received — especially from the headteacher — were outstanding. This calm and supportive approach made a huge difference to her confidence, and she went on to pass her SATs successfully.

My son is currently in Year 6 and preparing for his SATs. The decision to bring back a former teacher, who is exceptional at what she does, has given me great confidence that the children are in very capable hands. Both Year 6 teachers are outstanding in their field and are clearly committed to supporting the children through this important stage of their education.

I would also like to highlight the team in the main office. They are always welcoming, friendly, and professional, and greet you with a smile whenever you walk into the school. As the first people you see, they are a fantastic reflection of the school’s positive and caring environment.

While there have been some occasional challenges along the way, any concerns or complaints I have raised have always been dealt with effectively. I feel I have a strong and positive relationship with the school, and any issues are listened to and acted upon to the best of their abilities.

I am extremely grateful for the care, commitment, and support shown to my children, and I would confidently recommend London Colney Primary School to other families.

Our family has had an exceptional experience at London Colney Primary School. Both of my boys, aged 6 and 3, have thrived there, not just academically but emotionally. My youngest lives with HLHS, and the level of care, understanding, and genuine compassion the staff show him every day is something we will always be grateful for.

The school consistently demonstrates outstanding communication, flexibility, and empathy, ensuring our youngest is supported in every aspect of his day. Their commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child is understood and valued has made a profound difference to our family.

A standout moment for us was when our eldest delivered a pupil‑led assembly to the entire school about his brother’s heart condition. The staff prepared him beautifully, encouraged his confidence, and celebrated his achievement. His reading and public speaking flourished because he felt safe, supported, and proud and the whole school community embraced him with warmth and respect.

We are deeply appreciative of London Colney Primary School’s dedication to both of our children and would highly recommend it to any family seeking a nurturing, compassionate, and truly supportive school.
